Hi
I’m Katy, a writer and creative based in
North Carolina
For over a decade, I’ve been working as a freelance writer and content strategist specialized in SEO. From blogs to case studies, social media calendars to downloadables and guides— I’ve worked with brands to give voice to their brand stories. I also work in the social media space as a Community Manager, engaging with customers of brands online and building community.
In addition, with a passion for the performing arts, I’ve worked with theatres to produce compelling work. I have a background in directing, stage managing, producing, and playwriting. With theatre companies like Women’s Theatre Festival, Justice Theatre Project, Manbites Dog Theater, Bare Theatre, and more, I’ve worked on and off stage to create unforgettable experiences.
I also create tabletop RPG’s and web art games, combining my love of telling stories and working with online communication to create a big impact. Using tools like Twine, Bitsy, Adventuron, and other open source tools, I create small, engaging experiences in the games community.
In all my work, I’m passionate about telling stories that truly reach audiences and build community. Leveraging creativity and passion, along with a view of the big picture strategically, I solve problems big and small.
